Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Gus.

Gus is an adorable Labrador mix. He is around 6 months old and now weighs 33 pounds. He is smaller than his siblings and has such a sweet demeanor! Gus is the last of his siblings to get adopted. He’s such a happy guy that his whole body wiggles when he sees you! You won’t be sorry if you give this guy a chance!

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open Wednesday through Friday, 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off pets during their week!
