Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week: Linen, the cat

Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Linen!

Linen is almost 2 years old and has been with us for just over 7 months. She arrived weighing around 9 pounds and has since tipped the scales at nearly 13 pounds—earning her a spot in our Chunky Cat Camp (much to her dismay!). Camp includes extra enrichment to encourage exercise, careful treat management, a diet cat food plan, and weekly weigh-ins. She’s making great progress, but she’d much rather graduate by finding a forever home of her own.

Linen is a sweet, cuddly girl who loves affection and companionship. She would be a wonderful addition to any home and is ready to trade camp life for a cozy couch and a family to call her own.

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open on Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials process applications in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your application, the better. And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off pets during their week!
