Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Toph!

Toph came in from the pound as a small puppy with her siblings. She is a tough little girl and survived the deadly parvovirus. The WHS workers are so glad she did because she is a vibrant girl with lots of love to give! She is around a year old and weighs 45 pounds. She is the perfect size for a family to play with and then relax on the couch! Her sister was recently adopted and is now the last of her litter to find a home. The WHS urges you to visit with Toph next time you come in. Officials promise she is a very loving girl!

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open Wednesday through Friday, 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off cats during their week.
