Wellington Public Works crews have completed curbside tree debris collection from Saturday storm

August 10, 2023   Cueball

Sumner Newscow report — Public Works crews have completed their curbside tree debris collection from Saturday morning’s storm.  Staff hauled 130 dump truck loads of debris to the Compost Site this week.  If you still have tree debris that must be hauled away, the Compost Site remains open regularly (Mondays-12 to 6 p.m., Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursdays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

“We would like to thank the citizens for the tremendous amount of help to make these cleanup efforts much easier,” said Jeremy Jones, Wellington Public Works Director. “Thank you to the Cemetery & Park Department Staff for their assistance.”

Prairie Lawn Cemetery Staff completed their storm cleanup yesterday and those roads are now open.
