Wellington tennis singles players had a great day at Maize South Invite
Sumner Newscow report — Wellington tennis players played in Maize South Friday.Â
“It was a great day for singles players,” said Allen Keller, Wellington head tennis coach.
Brock Edwards had two big wins and a third place medal, while Will Long had two big wins and a second place medal.
It was tough day for doubles.  In No. 1 doubles, Jaden Adams/Carson LeGrand at No. 1 finished sixth with a 1-3 record and Reece Langford and Avery Rademacher at No. 2 finished eighth with an 0-4 record.Â
“Team wise, Wellington finished fifth, but we should have finished fourth,” Keller said. “ At least we finished ahead of Winfield. Since my dubs are struggling, I’ll be changing them up a bit on Monday at Collegiate and hope to have some better results.”
