Sumner Newscow report — A tractor rollover at 12:10 p.m. today at Broadway and 12th St. south, east of the Kansas Turnpike, resulted in a man having his leg injured.

A male, not named in the Wellington Fire report, was driving a tractor with a mower. The front end scoop overturned on South Broadway into a ditch trapping the individual beneath the tractor, according to a Wellington Fire Department press release. 

Fire and EMS personnel used extrication cutters to remove the seat and steering wheel for patient extraction. Sumner County Sheriff setup landing zone and the individual was transported to Wesley Medical Center by Eagle Med helicopter.

There was one ambulance, one Wellington Fire Department administrative truck, one rescue truck on the scene.
