Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The owners of five prominent Kansas independent insurance agencies announced the formation of Bison Insurance Group LLC (BIG); a new partnership allowing the agencies to combine resources to meet the needs of an ever changing insurance marketplace.

Together the five founding agencies: Renn & Co. Inc. in Wellington, Newkirk, Dennis and Buckles, Independence; Fee Insurance Group, Hutchinson; Tyner Insurance Group, Council Grove; and Al Shank Insurance, Liberal will work to collectively offer their clients insurance options and innovative services.

They are well-known and respected within their areas and throughout the region.”

Renn further states that “Collectively, we do business in 15 plus states with 14 office locations. Bottom line, we think it will better serve our current and prospective clients and will give us the opportunity to have broadened insurance market access which in turn will allow us to better tailor our clients insurance needs at the most competitive value.”

Renn and Company, Inc. a fourth generation insurance agency, was formed by George S. Renn and has been serving the insurance and real estate needs in Kansas and Oklahoma since 1933.
