Today’s News:
*The Crusader Choir and Drama Department want to invite you to their dinner and show on December 2nd and 3 at 6 p.m. here at WHS. Tickets are $15 per person and are limited- so hurry and get your ticket! You may purchase tickets from Choir or drama members or Ms. Coldwell.
*Good Morning Crusaders! Have you noticed the Christmas Tree posted on the bulletin board next to the office? The WHS Leadership Class, along with the Wellington Lions Club, are Adopting Families for the Christmas Season at the high school from November 30th to December 14th. The donations they need are listed on the ornaments of the Christmas tree posted on the bulletin board by the office. Items will be updated as Operation Holiday receives new requests. They are asking for new or unused gifts, which will be collected at the end of each day. For more information, look at Santa’s Scroll next to the tree.
*Students, did you see all the Naked Turkeys in the building? FCCLA will be selling feathers for 25 cents each during lunch for your teachers. The teacher’s classes with the most feathers will win a delicious prize! All donations will go to children and families in need. Mr. Seeney is still in the lead!
*Seniors: If you have not ordered your cap, gown, stole and tassel from Jostens, please do so as soon as possible. You can still pick up order forms in the counselors office. If you need financial assistance with this purchase, please see Mrs. Yates.
*Seniors have received information regarding the local scholarship application. The deadline for this application is January 11, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Last year over 30 scholarships totaling around $60,000 were awarded to graduation seniors. Also, to be eligible for the selection of the technology giveaway by Steve Sturgis, the graduation senior must complete this application. Only those that do will have an opportunity to receive a laptop at Class Night in May.
