Softball at Wellington High School.

Thursday

Regional tennis tournament.

Golf tournament at Tex Consolver

WHS baseball/softball vs. Rose Hill, senior night.

Kennedy Program/Auditorium.

Portfolio interviews, 4 to 7 p.m.

Friday

Regional tennis tournament

Track at Chaparral at 3 p.m.

Citywide track meet.

Baseball fundraiser in the commons, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

C team baseball at Wellington at 11 a.m.

Science/math workshop, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in high school commons.

Wednesday breakfast: French Toast Casserole.

Tuesday lunch: Chicken patty, spicy chicken patty.

Today’s News:

•Attention SENIORS: If would like to use a photo other than your school picture for your yearbook portrait, please submit an appropriate replacement by Friday, May 4. See Ms. Ford for details and to submit your alternate photo.

•Please announce that Circle of Friends will have a group picture taken right after the announcements at 10 a.m. in the Big Gym on May 4.

•Soloists Marisa Black, Mariah Grable, and Julia Starnes traveled to Larned, KS this last weekend and competed in State Solo competition. All these ladies performed wonderfully and received a superior rating of a one!!!! CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!!

•There will be a Girl’s Basketball meeting during Crusader Connections on Friday the 4th.

•Saturday, May 5 there will be a dog wash at Heritage Park hosted by Mrs. Defore’s Citizenship class from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The prices for small dogs are $4 and large dogs will be $5.

•Students and staff, Mrs Defore’s 4th period citizenship students are having a donation drive for items to give to Searchlight, a charity for Sumner County homeless. We need students to bring items we have listed on our flyers located around the school. For each item you bring, you will be entered into a drawing for a $20 VISA gift card. Please bring all items to the table we have set up in the commons before school each day next week.

•Work Ethic students, please turn in your volunteer hours ASAP

•Seniors: The Wellington High School Baccalaureate service will be held Sunday, May 6t at 2 p.m. at the Wellington First Assembly Church located at 326 West Botkin Street. This is a faith-based ceremony. Even though attendance is optional for this service, several members of the church, community and high school students spend a lot of time planning the service and it would be nice to have the service well attended.

*The Wellington Young Professionals are accepting applications for the 2018 Wellington Young Professionals Book Scholarship. Two scholarships of $250 each will be awarded to two graduating seniors of Wellington High School for purchasing books. You may access the scholarship application on the counselor’s website or pick up one in the counselor’s office. Applications should be submitted to Mrs. Yates in the counselor’s office by May 4th. No late applications will be accepted.
