Tuesday menu:
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs.
Lunch: Chicken soft tacos, pizza quesadilla.
Today’s News:
*Sherry’s Army is looking for volunteers for the morning of April 22nd. If you are interested in helping, please talk to Mrs. Groom ASAP.
*Sophomores: The class rings will be delivered Friday, April 28th during the three lunches.
*Nominations for the Excellence in Teaching Award are being accepted now until Wednesday, April 19th. Staff Members, Parents and Students are eligible to nominate a teacher for this award. Please stop by the office to pick up the nomination form.
*There will be an FFA meeting on April 13th during the second half of CruCon. It is important for members to attend, we are voting on next year’s officers. This will be the only time you can vote.
Prom info:
*Prom RSVP’s were due April 5th. If you plan to attend prom and do not turn in your RSVP, you will have no dinner. If you’re lucky we might find extra salad crackers for you to eat. So…. TURN IN YOUR RSVPS PRONTO TO MS FORD IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING PROM!
*Prom tickets will be for sale during lunch. Cost is $30 unless you sold 5 magazines your junior year. Out of town dates are $30 unless you earned your ticket, then they are $15. The last day to purchase a ticket is Thursday, April 20th.
*You can sign-up out of town dates in the office. They must be a junior or senior and under 21 years of age.
*If you are interested in participating in the entertainment portion of prom, please pick up a prom entertainment application from Ms. Ford or Mrs. Lawless.
*Remember- You must be in attendance at school on the Friday before prom to attend prom on Saturday.
*Juniors and Seniors who are planning on attending Project Prom must stop by the office and complete a Project Prom Student Pledge Sheet. This form must be filled out and returned in order to attend.
Seniors:
*The caps and gowns will be delivered Friday, April 28th during the three lunches in the commons.
*Seniors: Your English Teacher has a permission slip for you to take home to your parents/guardians for signatures. Please be sure to get the signatures on the form and return them to the counselor’s office as soon as possible.
*Seniors will have a meeting on Wednesday, April 26th at 10:00 am in the Auditorium to discuss class night and graduation ceremonies. Please try to make the meeting. If you cannot attend, you will need to pick up the information packet in the counselor’s office after April 26th.
*Sumner Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is again offering two $1000 scholarships for the school year 2017-2018 for persons already involved in studies in the medical field or persons planning to enter the medical field. Applicants must be from Sumner county. Applications may be obtained at the Auxiliary Gift Shop located in the hospital. They are to be returned by 3:00 pm April 17, 2017.
*The Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund is now open for Seniors to apply for a $1,000 scholarship. Please visit the counseling website for the link
