WHS graduate Casey Dry is doing well after injuries sustained in Afghanistan
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Casey Dry, the son of Shane and Kenna Dry of Wellington, is recovering from injuries in a Germany hospital after a military incident in Afghanistan, last week.
The 2009 Wellington High School graduate is expected to make a full recovery. Due to the military security, no details pertaining to Dry’s injuries or the military operation for which he is a member of is being released at this time.
Dry, who serves in the U.S. Army and serves with a bomb-deactivation unit, was injured on Thursday afternoon as well as several in his division. Dry was taken from Bagram Airfield base in Afghanistan to a German hospital.Â
He then is expected to be flown back to the United States where he will continue treatment.
“He is doing well and looking well and is in good spirits,” Kenna Dry said on her Facebook page. “Thank you to everyone for your prayers, and well wishes and concerns.”
