WHS senior Melody Rinehart signs with Wichita State cheerleading squad
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Wellington High School senior Melody Rinehart, the daughter of Eric and Angela Rinehart, signed a letter of intent to cheerlead at Wichita State University next year.
This might be the first signing at a Division 1 school for a WHS senior for a significant number of years.
Rinehart, who has grown up participating in cheerleading, tumbling, and gymnastics, will be cheering on the Shocker volleyball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball programs. She held a signing ceremony in the high school commons this morning.
