Winfield’s Rachel Dunlap, 35, arrested for stabbing incident at Sonner Motor Inn
By Dakotah Davis, Newscow.net – Authorities arrested a Winfield woman who is a suspect in a stabbing incident which occurred late Wednesday night in the 1300 block of Olive, a Winfield Police Department report said today.
Rachel Dunlap, 35, was arrested and at the Sonner Motor Inn after officers conducted interviews and obtained a search warrant, according to the report. Dunlap has been charged with aggravated battery and was booked into the Cowley County Jail earlier today. Her bond has been set at $10,000.
Around 10 p.m., officers received a report of a stabbing in the residential area located on the north side of Winfield, but when they arrived no victims were located. They later learned a victim had gone to William Newton Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to the chest area. The victim was later transported to a Wichita hospital in critical condition.
An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, according to the report.
