With purchase, Shawn and Mandy Thomson now owns Theurer-Thomson Auction & Realty, LLC
By Pam Strader, Sumner Newscow — Theurer Auction and Realty, a Wellington staple for over 50 years, is now Theurer-Thomson Auction and Realty, LLC.
Wellington residents, Shawn and Mandy Thomson, purchased the business in June. Shawn has been with BNSF Railway for 20 years, and Mandy has been with Theurer Auction for the last 11 years. The Thomsons bring their dedication to serving our community with professional real estate, land, and asset auction services to the new business.
They’re excited to bring buyers and sellers together with integrity, transparency, and results. The business will soon be expanding. Watch for an announcement next month – additional real estate agents will be added to the Theurer-Thomson team.
The entire Thomson family is involved in the business; their twin daughters, Addi and Gracie, who are juniors at Wellington High School, are actively involved in auction pick-ups and working behind the scenes. You may even see their twin cockapoos, Oakley and Winnie, from time to time.
Come by, meet the staff and don’t forget to visit the new website and Facebook page at https://www.theurerthomson.net
Larry Theurer, with 50 years of experience in the auction industry, has transitioned into semi-retirement but remains a familiar face around the office and at auctions. His wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and passion for auctions continue to make him a valuable part of our team.
Other staff members include Elise Wartick – Auction Manager, Ashley Pilger – Office Manager, Lauren Anderson – Sales Associate, and Leslie Rice – Auction Staff.
The Junior Crew is made up of Brett, Addi, Corinne, Maya, Gracie, and Kody. Even though they’re the youngest, they’re some of our most helpful team members! The girls handle the photos and keep everything organized, while the boys do all the heavy lifting. You’ll often see them all at pickups. They all contribute behind the scenes, helping to keep things running smoothly.
