Railroad Crossing closing for repairs in Sumner County
Submitted to Sumner Newscow — BNSF Railway Co will continue a permitted railroad crossing repair project between the K-44/K-49 route intersection and U.S. 160/K-49 intersection in Sumner County. The purpose of the railroad crossing repair project is to conduct routine maintenance and necessary upgrades. It is scheduled to be completed around April 1, depending on delays due to adverse weather conditions.
Local traffic will need to use alternate routes. With both lanes being affected and closed by the project, through traffic will be detoured on state routes US-160 & US-81 highways. Potential time delays over an hour can be expected.
