Erianne Adams, Brian Lewellen and Courtney Wiens are still in running for $200 in Pig and Cow contest

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Just like the NCAA basketball tournament, most contestants have been eliminated from competition in the Pig and Cow Tournament Bracket contest after week No. 2.

There are just three entries left that could get the $200 supplied by the Pig Shack. And there are nine entries still in competition for the $50 and $25 Pig Shack Barbecue.

Have you heard the saying: it’s not how you start but how you finish? Nothing rings more true than this contest. If you pick the national champion, you are getting 32 points which is equal to all the picks in the other rounds.

Going into this weekend, Brian Lewellen, Erianne Adams and Courtney Wiens are still in the running for the top $200 prize. Yet all three of them could be out of the top three in the end if their teams don’t win (with the exception of Adams).

There is also three top entries for each potential national champion, excluding Syracuse, that could win some prizes. Let’s do some analyzing:

Analysis:

Adams wins $200 if: Oklahoma wins or Syracuse wins and Oklahoma qualifies for championship. Her Final Four includes: North Carolina over Michigan State, Oklahoma over Villanova in semifinals. Oklahoma over North Carolina in championship.

Lewellen wins $200 if: North Carolina wins, or Syracuse wins and Villanova qualifies for championship. His Final Four include: Villanova over Oklahoma, North Carolina over Virginia. North Carolina over Villanova in championship.

Wiens wins $200 if: Villanova wins. Her Final Four includes: Villanova over Oregon, North Carolina over Virginia in semifinals. Villanova over North Carolina in the championship.

Second and third place potential winnings, is a plethora of combination too numerous to list here.

Please note: IN CASE THERE IS A TIE, THE TIE WILL BE BROKEN WITH A DRAWING FROM A BOWL AT PIG SHACK INVOLVING AN OWNER OF THE PIG SHACK.
