by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The American Legion raises the flag at every Wellington High School football game.

But the flag pole is in very bad condition. The Wellington American Legion has started a fund at the Impact Bank for a new flag pole. Any contribution to this fund will be greatly appreciated.

If you wish to donate to this fund all you have to do is go to the bank and tell them to put the money in the football flagpole fund. There are two classes at the  WHS that are raising funds for the same flag pole fund.

“We are wanting to get the new flag pole up before next season,” said David Carroll, Wellington American Legion Adjutant.
