Betty Jo Oliver, 67, of Oxford died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 23 at the Oxford United Methodist Church. No visitation is scheduled and no graveside services are scheduled, but the family would like to invite everyone back to their home (410 N. Water Street, Oxford, Kans.) after the service. Betty Jo Oliver was born January 11, 1949 the daughter of Ramon and Venita (Miller) Vollweider in Winfield. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1967 and was a graduate from the Cosmetology School in Wichita. Betty was united in marriage to Gerry Oliver on August 30, 1968. Betty was an office manager for Professional Bank Forms and from 1991 until 2015 worked as the city clerk for the city of Oxford. Betty enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Gerry of the home; children: Adam Oliver and his wife Tammy of New Braunfels, TX, Dama Chrisman of Oxford and Aaron Oliver and his wife Denise of West Des Moines, Iowa; 8 grandchildren: Sadie Norris, Elizabeth Tincher, Rachel Oliver, Kayla Chrisman, Jacob Oliver, Noah Oliver, Jared Oliver and Parker Chrisman; 3 great-grandchildren: Hayden Norris, Wyatt Norris and Conner Tincher; and 3 sisters: Judy Thomas and her husband Kenny of Oxford, KS, Linda Smith and her husband Lionel of Derby, KS, and Sandy Lerch and her husband Tom of McKinney, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
