Brenda Munro

Brenda C. Munro died peacefully at her home on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the age of 71.

She was born the daughter of Floyd and Shirley (Hartline) Stephens on January 30, 1950 in Wichita.

Brenda was raised in Belle Plaine and graduated from high school the class of 1968. She then went on to graduate from Vernon’s School of Cosmetology and became a hair dresser, working in Wellington for over 30 years.

On June 12, 1970 she was united in marriage to John C. Munro and had two sons, John Scott and Shane E. Munro. John and Brenda celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Brenda’s pride and joy were always her family and especially her grandkids. They were always on the top of her list. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her husband, John Munro; sons, Scott (Makeesha) Munro; and Shane (Kristina) Munro; sister, Sherry Westfall; grandchildren: Cory Parker, Dalen Munro, Makenna Munro, Harrison Munro, Hayden Munro, Holden Munro; twins, Hudson and Erin Munro; nephew, Dustin Rager; niece, Lindsay Rager and numerous cousins and close friends.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and one brother, Jeffrey Stephens.

Memorial services for Brenda will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory in Wellington.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contributions has been made in her loving memory to the Wellington Humane Society, P.O. Box 494, Wellington 67152. Contributions mailed be mailed or left with the funeral home.
