Case against Kim Wiens has been dismissed in Sumner County Court

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The case against Kim Wiens of Wellington, who was facing a level 9 felony for defrauding the Wellington Public Library as a former director has been dismissed.

As ordered by Sumner County District Court, “that this case be and the same is hereby dismissed without prejudice,” during a hearing on August 7.

Wiens was accused of defrauding the library for $4,464.

The Sumner County Attorney’s office filed the complaint in March stating that Wiens had unlawfully took control of property for compensation of 236.46 hours of vacation time, during her employment as library director at WPL. See story here.
