Crusader Preview: Charles Wallace has been coaching for 50 years and 48 years in Wellington

1. The essentials:

Head coach: Charles Wallace, 48th year coaching cross country in Wellington and 50th year of coaching overall at the school. 

2.  Key returning starters: Will Long, Carson LeGrand and Jo Treadway will all be returning for another season.

3. No. of runners:

Wellington will have 29 runners this year in high school. There are four seniors, six juniors, five sophomores and 14 freshmen.

4. No. of Wellington Middle School runners:

There will be 27 runners in the middle school including nine eighth graders, six seventh graders and 12 sixth graders.

5. Intangibles:

Coach Wallace said it is too early to tell what kind of Crusader team this will be in 2016.

“We are young, but gaining experience every day,” he said.
