Fourth annual Robotics Challenge will be held on April 27-28 at Cowley College in Wellington

Sumner Newscow report — The public is invited to attend the 4th Annual Robotics Challenge at Cowley College’s Sumner Campus in Wellington.  Plan to attend to experience the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.  Each year the event has grown, this year expanding into a two-day event.  The event is free to attend and open to the public. 

 The Robotics Challenge is to inspire and provide students the opportunity to learn robotic technology, write computer programs, code, be creative, learn to work as a team, follow complex directions, be detail-oriented, make better decisions, and solve problems.   

This year’s Challenge will feature 29 teams from 14 schools.  The Basic Competition will start at 9 a.m. on April 27, with the Advanced Competition following on April 28 at 9 a.m.
