by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Heidi Gulick, the daughter of Hollie and Clinton Gulick, was crowned the 2022 Wellington High School Duchess of Wellington.
The announcement was made during halftime of the Wellington-Collegiate homecoming game. Kylen Smith escorted her. The other candidates were Jensen Lynnes, Kasiah Richmond, Emma Stover, Noraa Nance, and Porter Hopper.
Gulick is also the granddaughter of Dana and Ross Meeker and Ruby and Kirk Gulick.

Gulick has been an active member of FCA, the student council, SADD, and the National Honor Society. She has been in tennis, powerlifting and softball. Outside of school, she is involved with Catholic Youth Ministry, volunteers at the Wellington Humane Society, and plays club softball.
She was a first-team all-league softball player in 2022.
Her future plans are to attend the Kansas State – Salina and get a professional pilot degree to become either a commercial or private pilot.
