Randle has been charged with disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; and interference with law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor.

Sumner County Attorney Kerwin Spencer, who filed the complaint today, said he will not be pursuing felony charges against Randle, who was starting for the Cowboys a month ago.

“I was told that I should file a felony charge of criminal threat,” Spencer said. “I decided to go with the lesser misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.”

Randle posted a $5,000 professional bond and was released from Sumner County Jail. He is expected to have hired an attorney before his first appearance at the courthouse at 9 a.m.

According to the complaint, Randle, who lists his address as Irving, Texas, had been inside the Sumner County casino playing blackjack. Spencer said a disagreement arose and Randle allegedly spit on the casino floor after being warned not to do so and was using abusive language toward the dealer, floor supervisor and shift manager working at the casino at the time.

“He was told to leave the casino and not return for 24 hours,” Spencer said. “He initially refused to leave at first, but after cashing out his chips, he was escorted outside the casino door by (Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission) agents.”

Randle allegedly continued to argue with agents in parking lot near the casino’s Shark Bar. He was again told to leave the premises by an agent. Randle allegedly threatened the agent with bodily harm.

“He then proceeded to go back into the casino,” Spencer said. “Once he took steps toward the casino he was no longer making progress to the vehicle and that subjected him to arrest.”

Randle then allegedly started running, but was caught, Spencer said.

“We can assume that Mr. Randle can run faster than anyone there,” Spencer said. “But he was caught before going in full stride.”

He then resisted arrest while being handcuffed, Spencer said.

Randle, who grew up in Wichita, had been in trouble with the law before. In October 2014, police in Frisco, Texas arrested him for stealing cologne and underwear from a Dallas-area mall. In February, Wichita Police cited him on drug charges which were later dropped to pursue a possible domestic violence.

The Nov. 24 incident has received plenty of national media attention. Matt Mullen, Assistant Sumner County Attorney, said TMZ had requested the casino video which the attorney’s office refused to release.

KWCH-TV and Sumner Newscow have requested the affidavit concerning the Randle case.
