Medallion has been found…

Sumner Newscow report — The Kansas Wheat Festival Medallion has been found… finally.

Jennifer Shaw of Wellington found the Medallion around 11:30 a.m. The Medallion was found east of the Wellington Go-Kart track at Worden Park at the bottom of what has been described by a reader as a water dispenser used for city trucks.

Thus ends the longest search for the Medallion since 2013, when it wasn’t found. This took the full 10 days.

Shaw will be presented the $1,000 with a registered button tonight on stage after the Wheat Festival Parade. The Medallion committee will be releasing the clues shortly.
