Sumner Newscow report — The following is the football playoff possibilities for next week for all of the Sumner County teams, courtesy of Garrett “Cheese” Wilson, the voice of the Crusaders.

The winner will advance to the playoffs.

Wellington

• Wellington can clinch a playoff berth with:
  • Win over Ulysses by 8 points, regardless what Mulvane does with Rose Hil.
  • Win and Mulvane loss.
  • Win by 1 more point than a Mulvane win.
  • Loss by 1 less point than Mulvane loss.
• Wellington can win the district with:
  • Win by at least 8 points and 1 more point than a Mulvane wins over Rose Hill.
    • Mulvane wins by 9 – Wellington would need to win by 10
  • Win and Mulvane loss.

Conway Springs

• Conway Springs can clinch a playoff berth win
  • A win vs Chaparral.

Caldwell

• Caldwell can clinch a playoff berth with:
  • A win plus Pretty Prairie win and a South Barber loss.

If this happens whoever has the most points will get the second playoff berth.

• South Barber is currently (+)31 and plays Attica/Argonia.
• Pretty Prairie is at 0 and plays South Haven.
• Caldwell is at 0 and plays Norwich.

Argonia-Attica
Argonia-Attica has clinched a playoff berth. The winner will receive the district crown.
