Tanner Ford wins the 2022 Kansas Wheat Festival button design contest

Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Kansas Wheat Festival button design contest. Tanner Ford, assistant Wellington Recreation Commission Director, was the design winner.

The theme is “Connecting Our Communities” to highlight the fact that this is the official Kansas Wheat Festival rather than just the Wellington Wheat Festival. The theme also highlights KanOkla as the premier sponsor who is diligently working to connect our communities with high-speed internet connectivity.

“Tanner did a wonderful job combining wheat, the Wellington water tower, and the Caldwell arch to tie together KanOkla’s home in Caldwell with the Kansas Wheat Festival’s home in Wellington,” according to Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce officials.

The 122nd Annual Kansas Wheat Festival will be held July 5-9 in Wellington.
