Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Shelter Pet of the Week is Ghost.

Ghost is a little over a year old, weighs around 42 pounds, and is one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet! This young, spunky guy absolutely LOVES everyone he meets and is always ready to make a new friend. Ghost is eager to play with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to help keep him busy!  He isn’t a fan of cats, though, so a feline-free home would be best for him.

Ghost has barely gotten started in life, yet he has found himself growing up in a shelter. He deserves so much more than kennel life—he deserves a family, a comfy couch, a yard to run in, and people who will love his goofy personality as much as the shelter volunteers and staff do.

Undoubtedly, there is a family out there that could use a little more Ghost in their lives. His happiness, playful spirit, and endless love could make their home a whole lot better. Could Ghost be the missing piece your family has been waiting for? Come meet him and see for yourself!

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open on Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials process applications in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your application, the better. And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $50 off pets during their week! That is in addition to the Clear the Shelters discount, so his fee is only $50.
