Summer, Pool and…PRESCHOOL!

Summer has started and families have vacations, swimming, and fishing on their minds. BUT, it’s actually time for parents of 3 and 4-year-olds to start planning for their child’s entrance into preschool in August!

As Sumner County’s premiere preschool program, Futures Unlimited, Inc. is thrilled to continue its goal of effectively readying Sumner County’s young ones for kindergarten. At Futures, it’s actually a whole-family affair!

Futures is pleased to offer preschoolers and their families:

• Child and family engagement activities
• Developmental screenings and mile-markers
• Full-day school options
• Research-based curriculum
• Discovery playground
• School readiness check-points
• Strong emphasis on emotional growth and development
• Peer social skill development
• Support for a child’s health
• Strengthening of family bonds

Cindy Bauer, Futures’ early childhood enrollment specialist, encourages families to make time to apply for preschool online. “We spend the first part of summer gathering applications and the second half enrolling families,” says Bauer. “Summer goes by fast, so it’s so important families don’t wait.”

Parents with children who will be three by Aug. 31, are urged to apply online at www.futures-unlimited.org/APPLY. Children who are not quite three are encouraged to apply immediately following their third birthday.
