Tyler Brown wins men’s 5K run at Kansas Wheat Festival
Tyler Brown wins 2018 Kansas Wheat Run.
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Tyler Brown, who is approaching his junior year at Wellington High School, was winner of the men’s 5K run at Saturday’s 2018 Security State Bank Wheat Run.
Lacey Buckwalter, a Sterling College track and field athlete from Sylvia, Kans., was the winner of the women’s event.
Lacey Buckwalter wins the women’s 5K.
Brown ran the race in 18.40 while Buckwalter came in at 22:20.
In the one mile run, Zach Haxton of Argonia was the winner of the boys. Tavia Hart was the one-mile winner for the women. Photo gallery of the event can be found here.
