Walter Gerald Faber, 72, South Haven: Nov. 6, 1953 – March 10, 2026

Walter Faber

Walter Gerald Faber, of South Haven, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 72. Walter was born the son of Walt and Geraldine (Orth) Faber on November 6, 1953, in Wichita.

Walter’s life was a tribute to the qualities he was most admired for: his creativity, supportiveness, humor, and loving nature, while leaving behind a legacy of laughter, culinary delights, and a powerful love for his family.

Walter’s creative spirit was evident in his love for cooking, a passion he shared with the community through the local pizza restaurant he owned and operated with his beloved wife, Jennifer, in Spring Hill. Always willing to experiment with new recipes, Walter’s pizzas were loved by many and became a staple of the local community.

When he wasn’t creating delicious food, Walter devoted his time to his interest in 3D printing, a hobby that showcased his innovative mind. Walter was also a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. His enthusiasm for his teams infectious and enduring.

Yet, to Walter, family was everything. His love for his wife, Jennifer, was profound and unwavering, as was his adoration for his lovely daughters and precious grandbabies. He had a knack for turning ordinary moments into lasting memories, his quiet personality and dry wit humor will echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Faber; daughters, Kimberly Faber (Chris); and Carrie Ann Rich (Ryon); grandchildren: Lyli Rich, Natalie Tomassi, Soren Tomassi, Chloe Rich, Adam Rich, Logan Wade Rich; siblings: Judy Noetzel, Janet Lange, David Faber (Diane), Kathy Faber (Marty), and Greg Faber (Karla).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Geraldine Faber, brother, Kenny Faber, and sister, Carol Brenner.

Walter’s legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. His love, wisdom, and courage have left indelible footprints in the sands of time.
