Wellington Health & Rehab is the city’s lone tornado shelter.
Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Health and Rehabilitation located at 1600 W. 8th Street is once again available to the public as a tornado/storm shelter. The public should enter through the back or west door under the awning.
The conference room and women’s bathroom are available for visitors. As before, pets in carriers are allowed. This is the only location that has informed the City it would open to the public and available on a 24-hour basis.
