The USD 353 Athletics Winter Spectator Guidelines
Due to Sumner County’s and the AVCTL/Patriot League current restrictions on public gatherings, USD #353 winter high school and middle school events will have spectator restrictions. Each participant will be given a specific number of tickets to share for admittance into HS/MS basketball and HS/MS wrestling. Each person attending may only enter with a ticket, you will have to pay for entry still (MS cash, HS digital). The use of league, USD 353, and other passes are suspended until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. (Some of our events may have to be conducted with NO fans due to numbers).
When Wellington travels on the road to play athletic events, specific spectator guidelines will be up to the host school.

In addition to the capacity restrictions, spectators are expected to wear masks at all indoor events at all times, sit in family cohorts and social distance, and promptly exit all venues upon the conclusion of the event. Only essential personnel will be allowed on any playing surface.
All events hosted in the WHS Main Gym will be live-streamed on the NFHS Network. We are working to provide streaming in all of our gyms and have 4 more NFHS cameras on order. You will be able to stream our regular season home events for free thanks to the district paying the subscription fee.
Many of our league schools and other opponents will be broadcasting events via the NFHS Network. You may be required to pay for a subscription to get access to any event streamed on the network at other sites as well as all postseason events.
We appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep others safe so our students can continue participating in their activities. If you have questions, please contact Luke Smith at 620-326-4310.
