Wellington’s premier vintage and makers market returns to downtown Saturday
Sumner Newscow report — Wellington’s premier vintage and makers market will return on April 2 for its third show downtown at Memorial Auditorium and Heritage Park.
Tawnya Ybarra and Jessica Seeliger weren’t sure what the future held for their New and Vintage Treasure Market, but after the overwhelming response to their holiday show in October, the duo decided not to change a thing.
“We learned a lot from our first show back in June,†Ybarra said. “We took those lessons and went to work on making our holiday show the best it could be. We had such a positive response from shoppers and vendors at that show, we decided ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’. So we are back in the same location and same show layout as our October show.â€
While the New and Vintage Treasure Markets began in June 2015, the pair decided to move their shows to early spring and late October.
“This time of year, folks are ready to get out and get themselves ready for spring,†Seeliger said. “Our vendors have taken a bit of time off to recuperate from the big holiday season and are ready to show off their new spring items.â€
And Mother Nature looks like she will be helpful in getting everyone in a spring-like state-of-mind.
“Right now, the forecast calls for it to be 70 and sunny the day of the show,†Ybarra said. “Perfect shopping weather.â€
