Wiring cause of garage fire at 610 N. Blaine in Wellington
Sumner Newscow report — Electrical wiring is being blamed for a structure fire at the Jason Blasi residence at 610 N. Blaine in Wellington Saturday evening.
According to a Wellington Fire Department press release, firefighters found a wood frame detached garage with smoke showing from the eaves. Upon entry to the garage, firefighters found fire in the southwest corner extending into the wall. The wall covering on the interior and exterior was removed to extinguish the fire.
Fire damage was confined to one corner of the garage and smoke damage was throughout the structure. The estimated loss to content was $4,000. There were no injuries.
There was one pickup, one engine, and two ambulances at the scene with the Wellington Police Department.
