Wellington-Winfield middle school football game, postponed due to bus accident, to be played on Oct. 17
Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington-Winfield Middle School football game that was postponed 10 days ago due to the Winfield school bus being involved in an accident on its way to Sellers Park (see story here) is going to be made up on Oct. 17. This originally was supposed to be just an eighth grade only to make up the fact that Clearwater does not have an eighth grade team. Wellington Activities Director Elly Johnson said she is still trying to find the eighth grade a game, but that is becoming quite difficult. Therefore in October both the seventh and eighth will play Winfield.
